Support Your Library
Please support your public library.
Your financial gift, large or small, will help our Library meet the needs of our community. The Brockville Public Library has received generous government and community support over the past 100 years. However, in this new age of global information, we need your help to maintain and enhance our collections and services.

Ways to Give:
Roots & Wings Fund:
In 2004 we celebrated the 100th birthday of our Carnegie Library. At the same time we began planning for the future by launching a capital campaign with the goal of raising $100,000.00. You can help us to update print and audio-visual collections for children and adults, enhance service for seniors, and expand electronic information resources by continuing to make donations to our Roots & Wings Fund.
"There are two lasting bequests we give our children. One is roots, the other is wings."
~Hodding Carter, Jr.
Brockville Public Library Endowment Fund:
Invest in a gift that grows. In 2003 we established the Brockville Public Library Endowment Fund under the auspices of the Brockville Community Foundation with the goal of raising $1 million dollars. Bequests to a registered charity like the library can result in tax advantages to the donor's estate and will help the library to build on past successes and plan for a bright future. All donors should consult with legal and financial advisors regarding types and advantages of bequests.
Memorial Donations:
You can honour the memory of a loved one, friend or colleague by making a memorial contribution to the Brockville Public Library. Families will be notified and the donor will receive a tax receipt.
Adopt-a-Book Program:
Purchase a new book for the library and be the first one to read your selection. You will receive a tax receipt and a book plate will be placed in your book in acknowledgment of your thoughtfulness. You can suggest a title of your choice, or ask a staff member.
Donations of Books and other materials:
The library is happy to accept donations of recently issued, gently used books, talking-books on CD or cassette, compact discs, and videos. Contact the library at 342-3936 to discuss your donation and to arrange a time to drop off your items at the library.
