  1. For searches like Brockville Public Library, put quotes around the phrase as the word Brockville appears on each story.
  2. Any word in the story is searchable, including the information (cutline) under the photograph.

Sample searches are:

  1. Headline(murder)
  2. Section(news)
  3. "And", "or", "but not" searches, ie. gold and silver but not metal
  4. Proximity searches are available, ie. Pierre /1 Trudeau (that gets you to Pierre Trudeau when his middle name is mentioned). Of course you could also do Pierre and Trudeau.
  5. Byline (name of writer)
  6. Lead (murder and Kingston) will seach the first 2 paragraphs of each story.
  7. Cannot search on commonly used words like: but, and, who, is, etc. If you want to seach on The Who (music group), put quotes around “The Who”.
