Chilifresh Review Engine
ChiliFresh Review Engine is a tool that allows users to read and write reviews for items in our online catalogue. If you’ve ever searched major online booksellers for user reviews to see whether something was worth reading, you can now cut out the middleman because Chilifresh brings that feature right into our online catalogue. This easy-to-use tool adds an element of social interaction to the catalogue. In addition to reading all the reviews you can also add your own review, read all the reviews that a particular patron has written, sort the reviews and select whether you found the review helpful or not. Energy Meter Borrowing Program
The Brockville Library is partnering with the Brockville Climate Action Group to circulate energy usage meters.
What's an energy meter?
It calculates the cost of energy consumed by an appliance.
How can I borrow one?
To borrow one of these devices please visit the Brockville Public Library. You must have a valid library card to borrow a meter. Meters may be borrowed for 10 days. To place a hold on the energy meter, type "Energy Meter" as the title in our catalogue.
Read to Every Kid Every Day Literacy Program
We invite children ages 0 to 6 and their families in Leeds and Grenville to read twelve exciting and colourful picture books selected by a team of librarians and early child educators and then choose their favorite.

Library Opens on Mondays!!
In an attempt to better serve our clientele, the library will open its doors to the public on Mondays from 10 am to 1 pm.This will begin on Monday October 6, 2008.
Please note: In order to facilitate this change, we have had to close one hour earlier on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Our new hours are:
Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm (Closed between Canada Day & Labour Day)
Monday 10 am to 1 pm
Tuesday 10 am to 8 pm
Wednesday 10 am to 8 pm
Thursday 10 am to 8 pm
Friday 10 am to 5 pm
Saturday 10 am to 5 pm
"New Titles" feature in iBistro
You can now look at our new titles through iBistro. Click on "New Titles", located next to "My Account", and browse through the various categories. You can even place holds on these new titles!

Now, when you search for books, you can place holds right from the Search Results page. Previously, you had to go into each record individually.
Please note: It is always good to log into iBistro before you begin your search to make placing holds more efficient. If you do not have your 4-digit PIN number, please ask us for it.

We have recently lifted the number of VHS titles that can be signed out from 2 per card, to unlimited.

We have recently changed our Pop-Up Book Collection from Reference status to circulating. You can now take them home!!

Library partners with the Mental Health & Addictions Resource Centre
The Brockville Public Library and the Mental Health & Addiction Resource Centre have partnered together and books from the Mental Health & Addiction Resource Centre will be on display, and available for loan from the Brockville Public Library.
For a complete listing of these titles go to our online catalog and click on "Power Search". Under the "Item Category 1" drop down menu, select, "Mental Health Exchange", and then click on Search.
Library Gets A New, Fully Accessible Internet Station
In order to meet the growing demand for Internet use, we have recently added a fourth Internet Express Station. This station was donated to us by The May Court Club of Brockville. This station is fully accessible with ZoomText magnification software, a large print keyboard, a large screen monitor and a movable chair.

You can now connect to our FREE high speed Internet using an Ethernet cable at three locations in the Adult Department. Patrons must have their own Ethernet cable. Please ask at the Reference Desk for details.
