This full-text database provides students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. There are 100 key topics of interest to Canadian researchers, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and a corresponding Critical Thinking Guide.

Student Resource Centre Canadian Edition includes reference, periodicals, primary sources, and multimedia resources geared toward Canadian students and educators. The database includes Canadian curriculum standards with correlated content, a popular topics picklist on the home page that features one-click access to Canadian topics, and new and updated essays on Canadian topics.

General Resources

Guide to Canada's System of Justice

Includes information about the history of law in Canada, the Constitution, the Judicial structure, and the role of the public.

Trade Data Online
A resource listing the imports and exports between Canada and over 200 countries. Click on "Canada and U.S. Trade by Product". Under "Trade Type" select either "Total Exports" or "Total Imports". Under trader select either Canada as a whole or individual provinces. Under "Value In" choose either U.S. dollars, Cdn dollars or percentage value. (you will likely use the Cdn dollars). Under time period you can select a specific year, range of years, last 5 years or last 10 years. Under "Trading Partner", select the country you are interested in. Under "Product Search"you can choose to list all products, or the top 25 products. Finally click on "Run Report".
